Church hosts Boar's Head Festival AGAWAM The Valley Community Church will host its 10th annual Boar's Head Festival Jan. 6 at 7 p.m. at the church, 152 S. Westfield St., Feeding Hills, MA. A donation of $5 per person is requested and all proceeds will be given to the Rescue Mission in Springfield. The Boar's Head Festival is an hour's entertainment which features jesters, madrigal singers and instrumentalists, live animals, a Mummer's play, Morris dancers, and more, whose theme is the celebration of "Light over Darkness" and ends with a nativity and the visit of the Wise Men in celebration of Epiphany. Many area residents are featured in this pageant. The evening culminates with a reception and fellowship in Dunn Hall. Reservations are suggested as space is limited.
