Easthampton Savings contributes to Trust
William S. Hogan, Jr., President and CEO of Easthampton Savings Bank, announced the bank's contribution of $25,000 to the Pascommuck Conservation Trust and The Trust For Public Land to save Echodale Farm. In announcing the contribution Hogan said "In preserving this important open space we are all making a significant impact on the entire Easthampton community for many, many years to come."
The 165-acre Echodale Farm, located on Park Hill Road in Easthampton, is the largest working farm in the city. The Pascommuck Conservation Trust and The Trust For Public Land have been fundraising since May 2006 to raise $300,000.
Easthampton Savings Bank's contribution of $25,000 at the leadership level is the largest community investment in Echodale Farm. At the celebration to mark the completion of the fundraising campaign, Thomas W. Brown, Senior Vice President, Retail Banking, presented a check to Marty Klein, Board Member of the Pascommuck Conservation Fund.
The event was held Jan. 18 at Apollo Grill in Easthampton. In presenting the check Brown said, "On behalf of everyone at Easthampton Savings Bank I'm pleased to present this check towards this very important project."
